26/27 Drive Smart

Drive Smart is a driving course, taught by the SDOC School Resource Officers, that all students must take prior to getting a parking pass and driving on one of our school campuses. This four-hour course will be taught at each of our three high schools and is designed to help teens gain the knowledge to drive defensively. Each high school’s driving regulations are covered in the course. A student may take the Alive at 25 course in place of Drive Smart. The course will be offered at the following dates, times, and locations. The cost of the course is $25. Tuesday, July 21 and Wednesday, July 22 at Seneca, Walhalla, and West Oak High School at 8:00 and 1:00. These are the classes held before school starts at each of the high schools. Saturday, August 1, 2026 at Walhalla High School at 8:00.Saturday, September 12, 2026 at Seneca High School at 8:00.Saturday, October 17, 2026 at West-Oak High School at 8:00.Saturday, November 7, 2026 at Walhalla High School at 8:00.Saturday, December 5, 2026 at Seneca High School at 8:00.Saturday, January 9, 2027 at West-Oak High School at 8:00.Saturday, February 6, 2027 at Walhalla High School at 8:00.Saturday, March 6, 2027 at Seneca High School at 8:00.Saturday, April 3, 2027 at West-Oak High School at 8:00.Saturday, May 1, 2027 at Walhalla High School at 8:00.An additional class may be scheduled as needed. Students do not have to take the class at their high school if another date works out better for them.Students or parents will sign up for the class they want to attend and pay for the class on the School District website sdoc.org using the link under the parent’s tab using My SchoolBucks.Students should report to the following locations to take the classes.Walhalla HS class is taught in the Auditorium and students should enter through the Commons area entrance.Seneca HS class is taught in the Cafeteria and students should enter through the cafeteria doors located to the left of the main entrance.West Oak HS class is taught in the Auditorium and students should enter through the main entrance.
