deficiencies. The class is offered on a first come-first serve basis and is an
accelerated course, and both sessions must be taken to create room in a

the nature and power of the word in speech, writing, and even thought. This
course introduces the student to the basics of the other two elements of the
medieval trivium--the arts of language: Logic and
Rhetoric. Considerable time will also be given to practicing memorization
and public recitation. Students will become more discerning readers, more
precise thinkers, and more effective communicators. </span><i style="font-family: Calibri, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt; font-weight: var(--bs-body-font-weight); text-align: var(--bs-body-text-align);">This is a required
course for all sophomores but can be taken in summer before sophomore year. Space
