Schools (HCPS) students are assigned an iPad, Chromebook, or Dell laptop to use
for the 2021-2022 school year. The protection plan was
originally offered through October 8, 2021 and subsequently extended through
October 13, 2021.</h5><p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom:7.5pt"><b>As we enter into the third
term, HCPS is offering the option to purchase a </b><b><span style="font-size: 10pt; line-height: 107%; font-family: Roboto;"><a href="https://hcps.org/parents/docs/BackToSchool/StudentDeviceServicePlan2022.pdf" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow"><span style="color:blue">device service plan</span></a></span></b><b> for a limited time at a cost
of $50. This option is available for purchase from January 20, 2022 through
February 4, 2022.</b> This purchase will cover the cost of repair or
replacement, if damaged beyond repair, if the device is returned and the
service tag is visible. The fee is per device, per student for the
FY2021-2022 school year and is non-refundable. Please note that lost or
stolen chargers or devices are not included as part of the service plan. </p><p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom:7.5pt">
</p><p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom:7.5pt">If the device service plan is
not elected and paid in full, the cost for repair is $150 per device, per incident.
Replacement costs for a device beyond repair, or if it’s lost or stolen are as
