Students will be taught about all aspects of robotics and receive hands-on training from professionals in specific skills related to design, fabrication, and programming. Core values of gracious professionalism, safety, and creativity will be stressed throughout the year. Parents are encouraged to earn their volunteer time by supporting team meetings (technical and non-technical help is welcome). The experiences FRC provides students are supplemental to what they are learning in their classes. Through STEM Enrichment, coaches and mentors provide the experiences for high school students at STEM High School and the surrounding area. The engineering labs at STEM provide the tools our team needs to build the FRC robot. In addition to the standard hand and power tools found in most technology education labs, STEM is also equipped with such tools as: 3D printers, laser engraver, CNC milling table, vertical mill, etc. Team Impulse is modeled after real world engineering businesses which means that we have a business team as well as our fabrication, power and software teams. We also focus on public and corporate relations (social media, video production, web design, etc), fundraising, money management and submissions for FIRST Inspires judged awards. Questions?
