Following a creative and proven grade K-5 curriculum written by 15-time CO State Chess Champions, National Chess Masters, and brothers Griffin and Sullivan McConnell, STEM School Chess Club brings humor, stories, and hands-on "chessercizes" to help students apply lessons both on and off the board. Our goal is to make chess learning fun while teaching valuable critical thinking and life skills in every class. Students calculate options and evaluate their consequences, reinforce planning skills, learn from mistakes, overcome obstacles, and practice visualization techniques to think a few steps ahead. Monthly scholastic tournaments will be held on Saturdays.
